Star Indian Cuisine: Authentic Indian Flavors in Omaha

We have been to this restaurant after our zoo visit for dinner. Ambience is good, all types of veg and non veg food available. We like their starters specifically grill starters. They so outstanding. We tried vegetable noodles for my kid, Chicken Angara, paneer hariyali, butter chicken and garlic nan. I would like to rate it separately - Vegetable noodles 5/5 Good quantities and quality Chicken angara 10/5 - best Indian style prep It has 6 chicken pieces. Paneer hariyali tikka - 4/5 - It has 5 paneer pieces and 4 large capsicum pieces. If you eat non veg, go for chicken angara instead. Butter chicken - 3/5 Curry was good but pieces were smelling odd. Chicken Curry - 3/5 Curry was good but pieces were smelling odd. (Request them to put tandoor pieces in curry, probably they will taste good) Manager was so polite, he replaced our butter chicken by chicken curry when we raise concern.

This is the best Indian food in Omaha, probably in Nebraska. The staff were really pleasant people. The buffet was huge and they stocked it continually. They were able to move people in and out, so we didn’t have to wait long on Sunday lunchtime. As a sidenote, they have buffets only on the first Sunday of each month. Take advantage of it. Great time to try all kinds of Indian food.

This is my favorite restaurant in Omaha. Not only is the food exceptionally delicious, but everyone who works there is lovely! Star Indian is always my first choice whenever my friends and I are going out for dinner. My favorites are the malai kofta and malai paneer mutter methi, but I also love the paneer korma and butter masala kofta… you pretty much can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you’re looking for exceptional Indian food with wonderful service and atmosphere, Star Indian is your place.

I ate here for the first time and I loved it! Ordered food for takeout. Good ambience and they have nice little bar as well. I ordered Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Dum biryani, the food was good and fresh. The depth of flavor and spices of the Chicken Dum Biryani was one of the best biryanis I tasted in Omaha, but a lot of red color was added to the tandoori chicken which is not required it doesn’t add any flavor to the dish and it’s not good for health either, if they avoid food coloring that would be great.

If you have or never had Indian food before, this is the place to start. The chicken tikka masala with garlic naan is unreal perfectly tender chicken, rich and creamy sauce with just the right amount of spice, and naan so good you’ll want extra just to scoop up every last bite. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. This meal alone could turn anyone into an Indian food fan. Easily one of those meals you think about long after you leave. Food was very good and the staff are very friendly. Brought me water as soon as I was getting low on it which is amazing because my food was a little spicy. I got the egg curry and absolutely loved it. The calamari was also really good and not chewy at all. A 1 Service. Thank you for serving me.. I will most definitely be coming back.

I’ve been here twice now, and both visits have been excellent. The butter chicken and the chicken korma were fantastic—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The samosas were also delicious, with a crisp exterior and a well-seasoned filling. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in the quality of their food. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu.

Came here for a dinner date and we were not disappointed. I had the tandoori chicken, wife had chicken tikka, also had the chicken 55 and samosas as appetizers. We got all dishes in a medium spice which was nice to be able to select a spice level for everything. The service was great and employees were very friendly. 10/10 would recommend getting your Indian food fix here.
